Wipro claims Rs 25 crore damages from former CFO Jatin Dalal for breach of contract

Wipro has filed a suit against its former CFO Jatin Dalal in the civil court in Bengaluru, seeking Rs 25 crore in damages for breach of contract. The company also requests an 18% per annum interest on the amount and a permanent injunction against Dalal from disclosing confidential information or soliciting customers or employees. Wipro questions Dalal's undertaking to the US SEC, stating that it is false and misleading. The next hearing is scheduled for January 3 to decide whether the matter should be referred to arbitration.
