Hiring activity for white-collar jobs dips 12 per cent during October-November

Hiring activity for white-collar jobs in Mumbai declined by 12% during October-November due to a fall in recruitment trends in IT-Software, telecom, and education sectors, according to the Naukri JobSpeak Index. Sectors like hospitality, travel, auto, and auto ancillary showed stagnant hiring trends. However, the oil and gas sectors witnessed a 9% increase in hiring, while the pharma sector registered a 6% increase. The insurance sector also saw positive momentum with a 5% growth in hiring.
