Indian e-commerce platform Meesho has expanded into the branded products segment, offering its users the chance to purchase items from national and regional brands such as Decathlon, Philips, and Bajaj. The move comes in response to customer demand and the desire of brands to expand their online presence. Meesho will charge a commission of 4%-5% from brands, and expects to generate a similar percentage of revenues from the branded product segment as it does from the unbranded space.
