DCGI gives approval for Bharat Biotech's Covaxin for children aged 6-12

The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given a restricted emergency use approval for Bharat Biotech's Covid-19 vaccine, Covaxin, for children between the age of six and 12. A Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of the DCGI had last week asked Bharat Biotech for additional data on Covaxin, for administering it to children aged below 12.
