Earthquake in Bay of Bengal; tremors felt in Chennai

According to National Institute of Seismology, the earthquake was reported at 12.35pm in the Bay of Bengal at a depth of 10km around 296km south-southeast of Kakinada and 312km south-southeast of Rajamundry in Andhra Pradesh.
